Industrial High Prity Zirconium Carbonate

Industrial High Prity Zirconium Carbonate

Zirconium Carbonate English Name: Zirconium Carbonate CAS No.: 57219-64-4 Chemical Formula: Zr₃CO₈, ZrO(CO₃)·xH₂O

Zirconium Carbonate is synthesized via liquid-phase precipitation reaction of zirconium oxychloride and sodium carbonate, serving as the mainstream industrial intermediate raw material for zirconium products. It is a multi-functional inorganic zirconium precursor, an eco-friendly non-toxic inorganic powder featuring acid solubility, thermal decomposition property and crosslinking reactivity. It acts as the core intermediate connecting zirconium salts, zirconia and various functional zirconium additives.

The product is applicable to the full industrial chains of coatings, papermaking, leather, cosmetics, ceramics, catalysis, pharmaceuticals, electronics and glass, covering consumer goods, automobile manufacturing, advanced materials and fine chemicals downstream. It boasts wide market applicability and stable market demand.

Physicochemical Properties of Zirconium Carbonate

Appearance: Pure white crystalline powder, loose texture, excellent dispersibility and no caking (standard grade)

Odor & Safety: Non-toxic, odorless and non-irritating; applicable to cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other skin-contact scenarios

Solubility: Insoluble in water, ethanol and other organic solvents; readily soluble in mineral acids such as hydrochloric acid with carbon dioxide released during dissolution; soluble in carbonate solutions (ammonium carbonate, sodium carbonate systems), suitable for liquid-phase synthesis of zirconium salts

Thermal Decomposition Performance: Stable at room temperature; gradually loses crystal water and releases CO₂ upon heating, and converts into high-activity zirconia after high-temperature calcination. No harmful decomposition by-products such as sulfur and chlorine are generated, making it more eco-friendly than zirconium sulfate and zirconium oxychloride

Chemical Activity: Abundant hydroxyl groups on powder surface with strong crosslinking and chelating capacity; capable of bonding reactions with resins, fibers and ceramic bodies to improve water resistance, weather resistance and wear resistance of finished products

Core Advantages of Our Products

1.Stable purity with controllable impurities: Refined by wet precipitation process, featuring low content of heavy metals, iron, silicon and aluminum impurities, suitable for high-standard industries including cosmetics, medical supplies and high-purity electronic ceramics.

2.High dissolution activity: Fast acid dissolution rate and outstanding solubility in carbonate systems, shortening the reaction cycle of downstream zirconium salt synthesis and boosting production efficiency.

3.Uniform particle size: Narrow particle size distribution and favorable dispersibility; rarely agglomerates when added to coatings, paper and glazes, delivering uniform and delicate finished appearance.

4.Long-term storage stability: Long shelf life under sealed storage at ambient temperature, low activity attenuation after long-term storage, suitable for long-cycle stock preparation and production.

5.Full industrial chain compatibility: Can be directly used as functional additives, or adopted as precursors to prepare a full range of zirconium compounds including zirconium acetate, zirconia and ammonium zirconium carbonate, realizing multi-purpose application of a single raw material.

6.Eco-friendly & safe: Non-toxic and odor-free, no harmful waste gas generated during decomposition, complying with environmental standards for coatings, daily chemicals and food-contact materials.

7.Customization service: Zirconium content, powder particle size and packaging specifications can be adjusted per customer requirements, tailored to segmented special scenarios such as leather tanning, automotive catalysis and optical storage materials.

8.Packaging Specifications: Standard 25kg, 600kg and 1000kg woven bags lined with double-layer plastic films; customized packaging available upon request.
