Molybdenum sheets are made by undergoing a sequence of processes including hot rolling, warm rolling, cold rolling and others.

UrbanMines specializes in supplying high purity Molybdenum Powder with the smallest possible average grain sizes. Molybdenum powder is produced by hydrogen reduction of molybdenum trioxide and ammonium molybdates. Our powder has a purity of 99.95% with low residual oxygen and carbon.

(Originated from molybdos of lead meaning in Greek); one kind of metal elements; element symbol: Mo; atomic number: 42; atomic weight: 95.94; silver white metal; hard; added in steel for high-speed steel manufacturing; liquid lead. 

Molybdan is not used much in industries. In high-temperature industries with requirements of mechanical properties, it’s often used (such as positive electrode for vacuum tube) as it’s cheaper than tungsten. Recently, the application in panel production line such as plasma power panel has been increasing.

What is Molybdenum Sheet used for?

Molybdenum sheet is used for making electric light source parts, components of electric vacuum and electric power semiconductor. It is also used for producing molybdenum boats, heat shield and heat bodies in high temperature furnace.

Neodymium(III) Oxide or neodymium sesquioxide is the chemical compound composed of neodymium and oxygen with the formula Nd2O3. It is soluble in acid and insoluble in water. It forms very light grayish-blue hexagonal crystals.The rare-earth mixture didymium, previously believed to be an element, partially consists of neodymium(III) oxide. Neodymium Oxide is a highly insoluble thermally stable neodymium source suitable for glass, optic and ceramic applications. Primary applications include lasers, glass coloring and tinting, and dielectrics. Neodymium Oxide is also available in pellets, pieces, sputtering targets, tablets, and nanopowder.
